Motorcyclist in Macon Dies After Being Struck by a Car Turning in Front of Him

Macon, GA (July 9, 2020) – A man died in Macon Wednesday night after allegedly being struck by a car that was turning in front of him.

The accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Jeffersonville Road and Ruark Road.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a woman driving a Kia Optima was making a left turn onto Ruark Road when she allegedly crashed into a dirt bike going the opposite direction on Jeffersonville Road. The motorcyclist, 31-year-old Sidney Stone, was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center where he reporetedly died from his injuries.

Investigators say that Stone’s dirt bike allegedly did not have lights. So far, no charges have been filed against the woman.
